Scope of Work
- Candidate to perform local data administration and systems analysis functions for various systems supporting the client’s Field Services Operations organization. This includes the client’s Work Force Management (WFM) System for Region North America, as well as other reference data systems in use by Field Technicians and Managers as they support the growth and repair of clients Customers networks.
- The candidate will work with a team of peers, the National Coordination and Dispatch Center, Field Operations Managers and Technicians, and various local and global client organizations to ensure that necessary reference data and system configuration is optimally maintained.
- The candidate will interface with various individuals to develop systematic solutions to complex business problems.
- The candidate will perform systems analysis activities to identify system operating inefficiencies, develop action plans for resolution, and drive the solution to completion.
- The candidate will test systems enhancements and provide training to system specific users as needed.
This position will require non-standard business hours, weekend, and holiday work to maintain critical operations. This position may require travel of up to 10%-15% in support of major projects.
Responsibilities:
- Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
- Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
- Prepares detailed specifications and design documents from which programs will be written.
- Analyzes and revises existing system logic and documentation as necessary.
- Configures system settings and options, including maintaining system reference data, user level access, and internal workflow settings.
- Plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing for IT code releases.
- Identifies systems operational issues and coordinates resolution with various global teams.
Qualifications Skills, Experience and Education:
- Job requires a level of knowledge typically gained through a combination of a college degree and/or relevant experience, totaling 7 years post-high school
- Strong, effective human relations, written and oral communication, interpretative and organizational skills.
- Experience with business systems operations; requirements management, systems administration, software development, or data analysis / reporting.
- Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Structured Query Language (SQL), and other query / database tools.
- Ability to evaluate complex situations and make quick decisions using good judgment. · Experience with project management, leadership of project implementation.
- Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task within a demanding work environment.
- Prior Telecommunications, Work Force Management, or Call Center Operations experience is desired.
