Project Management Office (PMO) Lead

Job Description:
This PMO professional is responsible for leading complex programs that marry processes with technology to achieve high performance. The PMO professional will plan, execute, monitor, and report requirements for the project according to the defined project standards. They will design, develop and deploy project management plans, prepare reports on project management progress and activities, coordinate with client resources on deliverable review and submission. The PMO professionals enable performance measurement in alignment with organizational strategies, grow revenue and drive value.

Key Responsibilities may include:

  • Shape and lead programs that translate process application and/or integration shortfalls into transformation programs/projects
  • Articulate application and integration strategy and thought leadership for business solutions
  • Envision new and innovative approaches and predicting probable business outcomes
  • Track projects with respect to personnel efforts, timeline, milestones, deliverables, expenses, etc.
  • Assess and managing risk and issues throughout all aspects of programs/projects implementation
  • Manage software engineering teams in designing, coding and testing program modules that meet design specifications
  • Participate in implementing all actions required to deploy an application; assisting in ensuring that the application meets both technical and business needs

Professional Skill Requirements:

  • 5 to 10 years relevant experience
  • Leadership excellence in running engineering and/or systems integration projects
  • Proven ability to resolve issues and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proven ability to build, lead, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Ability to meet travel requirements, when applicable

Requirements:

  • Degree holder preferably in Computer Science or Engineering disciplines or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with agile application development
  • Experience with all aspects of technology
  • Previous experience with large scale deployment and migration of technology services across a large Enterprise
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and proactively drive changes in project scope, timelines, and requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional project teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work with individuals at all levels in the organization – strong relationship building abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong negotiating, influencing, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to independently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with project cost estimations
  • Excellent team building and leadership skills
